Community Engagement events
This past February, we had back-to-back events where we were able to present our Practice the Pause campaign! Our first one, Lilly, Amanda, and Haydee, took a mini trip to Roosevelt Elementary in Granger and had the opportunity to speak to kindergarten-fourth grade kids, and we had a blast interacting with them! Our next visit was to Yakima at the YWCA (Yakima Women’s Christian Association), and Haydee and Amanda were able to share the benefits of Practice the Pause with the staff there so that they may be able to pass it on to their community in Yakima. And our last stop was to Chiawana High School for their annual Winter Family Festival! It was neat getting to interact with parents and students and handing out toolkits for them to be able to take home and read.
